Miss Things Boutique Introduces Halloween Couture

Miss Things Boutique is proud to introduce our newest line of Halloween Pettiskirts! These Costume Couture Pettiskirt additions are sure to make that little girl in your life grin from ear to ear! We have outdone ourselves. The flagship outfits currently include Little Red Riding Hood Pettiskirt Dress and Alice in Wonderland Pettiskirt Dress! The favorite Princesses will be added shortly.

Little Red this year will be decked out in a pettiskirt dress that has puffy sleeves and a mock corset front. She has a lace trimmed apron and a luscious Crushed Red Velvet Hooded Cape! Just add a basket of goodies for Grandma and she will step right into the fairy tale!

Alice's dress is fitted with a soft blue knit bodice trimmed in lace with puffy sleeves and a full ruffled chiffon skirt. She wears a matching apron with lace! Keep an eye out for that little white rabbit and the Queen of Hearts!

Miss Things Designs For Celebrity Baby 1st Birthday Party!

Since February, I have had the amazing opportunity to work with Trista Sutter on designing the "perfect dress" for her beautiful little Blakesley's 1st birthday party. I would like to start off by saying that designing for Blakesley's Winter Wonderland was an honor for us but not as big of an honor as it was getting to know Trista Sutter as a person rather than a "celebrity." In MTB's 3 years of designing, we have had the opportunity to design for quite a few celebrities and celebrity events which usually consisted of working with more reps than the actual celebrity themselves. I must say that Trista is ABSOLUTELY the most precious, sweet and appreciative person that I have ever come in contact with. She is as adorable in personality and heart as she was on television if not more! I must say that she is the most genuine and sweet celebrity that I have ever had the opportunity to work with! What a doll. I am looking forward to continuing to design for Miss Blakesley and her adorable big brother, Maxwell for all of his ROCKIN' boyish gear! (yes, MTB can TOTALLY design for boys as well!) A TON of thanks to Trista for giving MTB the opportunity to get to know her! The pleasure has been ours by far!

Not only did we design Miss Blakesley's Birthday Dress and Custom Birthday Girl Apron but we made custom boutique birthday hats for each guest as well as the one that Miss Blakesley wore to set off her little dress! At the birthday party, each little girl had the opportunity to visit Miss Things Dress Up Boutique and dress themselves in our custom Princess Couture that was designed exclusively for all of the little princesses that attended Miss Blakesley's Winter Wonderland! After all, what little girl doesn't dream of being a princess? Included in the bag of goodies for the guests, Miss Things Boutique gave gift certificates so everyone could have the chance to experience Miss Things Boutique's Custom Pettiskirt Couture for them self!
During this experience, I also had the amazing opportunity to get to know quite a few other AWESOME ladies who I am forever thankful for their businesses and what they do! You MUST check them out! Natalie from Hot Moms Club was totally awesome and man, does she run one HECK of a business! I also had the opportunity of working with Julie from Jewels and Pinstripes! What a doll baby as well! It's so awesome when we get to work with other women who can appreciate hard work, dedication, and the INSANE LONG hours that are put into building a very successful, female owned business. Special thanks to BOTH of you for all that you do for women, unique and custom businesses, mommies and kiddos all over. These ladies do wonders for so many amazing boutiques and online businesses that might go unrecognized without them! What an amazing experience!

CBS: How was Blakeley's first birthday party? We hear it was an Alice in Wonderland theme. Is that her favorite?

TS: "It was great! No...she actually has no idea who Alice is, but I was inspired by a movie poster I saw and since Max had a "land" kinda theme (his 1st birthday was a Candyland theme), I figured she should have her own "land" as well. Besides, I knew she would look adorable in an Alice inspired dress by Miss Things Boutique.

Heaven's Playground Has a New Angel Today!

As you all may know, Layla Grace lost her battle to the BIG, BAD, UGLY, NO GOOD Cancer MONSTER this morning. It's with a heavy heart that I would like to ask that all of you PLEASE pray for her little sisters who just don't understand. I also ask that you pray for the strength for her mommy and daddy as they are about to face something much harder than the cancer that baby Layla fought; laying her to rest. Something that NO mommy or daddy should EVER have to do.

For the next several weeks, Miss Things Boutique will have a place for you to send donations to the family to help with their medical expenses and anything else that they may need to help them move forward. In honor of this sweet angel now in Heaven, we want to ask from one family to another today to kiss your babies a little more, hug them a little tighter and love them a little longer than you ususally do. Maybe even take a second out of your busy schedules and just listen to them sleeping. It is the most precious sound on Earth.

What's Haute in 2010?

Well guys...

We made it through another amazing year thanks to ALL of you. So, what did we do while we were out.....

So for the last 3 days, I have been fighting Strep Throat that was so graciously given to me by my daughter, Brookelyn and given to her from her brother Gaven. Ahhh yes...Who got it the worst? Mommy, of course. I guess that is what happens when you have 5 kids! Hahaha! Ya know, I have always just wanted to make matching shirts for me and my hubby poo that simply says, "BREEDERS" and "yes, they are all 5 mine!" I mean really? Don't ya just love going places and people say, "are all of those yours?" I am SO not going there but our Atlanta Native, Jeff Foxworthy would have had a field day with that one!

So anyhow, let's get serious. Before all of the 1000+mg of Augmentin and Lidocaine throat numbing (short for "sure to make you barf from taste") medications, I have been INSANELY busy doing 2 things.

1: Designing TONS of new great things for the 2-0-1-0 to be shot by some of our TOP photographers and...

2: Patiently(NOT) waiting on Summit Entertainment, LLC to give us their graces to call our AWESOME NEW LINE exclusively designed by Miss Things Boutique something other than Vampire Wear!

I mean really? Did they really have to take such a long vacation? Just tell me how much it is going to cost me to call my new line what i want and I will write the check. My LORD! My customers and fans are about to BURST! (ok-ok..I AM ABOUT TO BURST!) hahahaha! Don't tell my hubby poo that I am STILL TALKING ABOUT EDWARD! BTW, you all can thank one of my BFF's over at Miss Priss Tutus for starting this CRAZY, SICK OBSESSION that I have with Edward Cullen. I remember laughing hysterically at her for making tutus and t-shirts for her and her friends just to go see the newest release!

Enough about me and Edward. I am SURE that by now he has broken the news to Bella about the 2 of us.
